Since our founding in 1871, Konoike Construction Company Ltd. has aimed to achieve a society where people can live with a sense of safety and peace of mind, which we have pursued through expert craftsmanship that reflects our Corporate Spirit of “Sincerity, Cordiality, and Promptitude.” For us, 2026 is a significant year. It marks the 155th anniversary of our foundation. It is also the first fiscal year of the new Konoike Group Medium-Term Management Plan (2026-2028).
Meanwhile, the environment surrounding the construction industry has been becoming increasingly harsh. Issues concerning the labor shortage are especially severe and require immediate action. The Konoike Group will work even harder to boost productivity by strengthening collaboration with our partner companies and utilizing DX and ICT. Regardless, widespread problems with the workplace environment and job satisfaction in the construction industry lie at the root of the labor shortage. An environment where workers can feel proud and happy is essential to create the future of the construction industry. To address this, the Konoike Group has launched “Activities to make Konoike Group construction sites the happiest workplace” with the participation of all Group employees. We are also making long-term efforts to spread the appeal of the construction industry to the next generation by participating in inquiry-based learning programs for junior high school and high school students and presenting our mission for the future of society and technology. We will directly tackle the issues facing not only the Konoike Group but the entire construction industry, aiming at a future where construction becomes the happiest industry.
The Konoike Group aims to provide value to people and to society, and to become a general contractor that is chosen by society. We will combine the forces of the Konoike Group and continue to conduct business “diligently and straightforwardly” in the spirit of our Corporate Philosophy of “Working with society to create a ‘thriving planet Earth’ and ‘bright future.’” I ask for your continued support.
